Volleyball to Play "Win and In"

The Muhlenberg volleyball team will enter the final day of the regular season with a chance to play its way into the playoffs.

The Muhlenberg volleyball team will enter the final day of the regular season with a chance to play its way into the playoffs.

A 3-0 loss at Haverford left the Mules (13-10, 3-6) in a tie for seventh place in the Centennial Conference. If they win at sixth-place Dickinson (4-5) on Saturday, they will clinch a CC playoff berth for the second straight season.

Muhlenberg dropped each set to the Fords (11-12, 6-3) by the same score, 25-21. The Mules played from behind for most of the first two sets before finally going on a run in the third set, opening up a 17-11 lead. But Haverford came back and scored the final six points to finish off the sweep.

Senior Alyssa Faville recorded 17 digs to move into fourth place on the Mules' all-time list with 1398 for her career. Sophomore Christina Marcin paced the attack with 8 kills. Junior Brooke Shiver knocked down 6 kills in only 12 attempts.
