McNulty Wins Regional High Jump

Muhlenberg sophomore Avery McNulty won the high jump at the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Championships.

Muhlenberg sophomore Avery McNulty won the high jump at the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Championships.

McNulty (pictured above) cleared 5-5 to tie the school record she tied twice previously this season, once last week while winning the Centennial Conference gold medal. She was nearly out of the competition at 5-3ΒΌ but stayed alive by making it over the bar on her third attempt. McNulty was one of three jumpers to clear that height, and she was the only one to make it at 5-5, succeeding on her second try.

McNulty is the second member of the Mule women's team to win gold at the regional meet in the last three years.

Muhlenberg athletes also competed in the women's 60-meter hurdles, men's weight throw and women's triple jump in the two-day event.
