Four Earn All-Region Honors in Track & Field

Four members of the Muhlenberg track & field program earned All-Metro Region honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Four members of the Muhlenberg track & field program earned All-Metro Region honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

To earn all-region status, an individual must be in the top five in the year-end descending order list in his or her event.

Making the list for the Mules were (pictured left to right above) senior Dylan DeMagistris in the weight throw, sophomore Avery McNulty in the high jump and freshmen Maya Richwine in the 60-meter hurdles and Jaden Snow in the heptathlon.

DeMagistris finished with the fourth-best mark in the Metro Region, a heave of 54-1 at Haverford that set a school record. DeMagistris went on to win a gold medal in the weight throw at the Centennial Conference Championships. The all-region honor was the second of his career.

McNulty had the second-best high jump in the region, clearing 5-5 at the Muhlenberg Indoor Invitational, the CC Championships and the All-Atlantic Regional Championships to tie a 23-year-old school record. She won the gold medal at both the CC Championships and the regional meet.

Richwine finished fourth on the performance list in the 60-meter hurdles with her time of 9.03 at the CC Championships, where she placed third. Her time was the second-best in program history, behind only the 8.85 posted by an All-American in 2013. Richwine won the hurdles in three straight meets during the season, lowering her time considerably from the 9.61 she ran at the opening meet.

Snow fell in third place in the regional performance list in the heptathlon with his school-record score of 4,131 points, set while winning the silver medal at the CC Championships. Snow finished in the top 30 in the region in the hurdles, high jump and long jump while also landing in the top 40 in the pole vault.
