McCauley Ties for Fourth

The Muhlenberg men's golf team shot a team total of 335 to come in fifth place out of nine teams at its home invitational.

The Muhlenberg men's golf team shot a team total of 335 to come in fifth place out of nine teams at its home invitational. 

Sophomore star Alex McCauley led the team by firing 76, just two strokes off the lead, to tie for fourth out of a field of 49 competitors. McCauley birdied the par-4 holes 12 and 15, both with 15-foot putts. The 76 tied his career low, achieve four times last year.

Sophomore Charlie Kerprich, who carded an 82, and senior Aron Gianchandani (86) each recorded a birdie. Kerprich birdied the par-4 eighth hole and Gianchandani birdied the par-3 third hole by making a right-to-left 30-foot putt.

Freshman Ryan Tasetano and senior Drew Hynes each had two birdies. Hynes (pictured above) recorded his on the par-5 sixth hole and the par-3 16th, and Tasetano had back-to-back birdies on the par-4 and par-3, respectively, 12th and 13th holes. 

Juniors Kaylin Foss and Carly Kramer represented the Mules in the women's half of the tournament.
