Hynes Shoots Career Low

The Muhlenberg men's golf team shot a season-best 332 at the Turtle Creek Intercollegiate to tie for 10th out of 14 teams.

The Muhlenberg men's golf team shot a season-best 332 at the Turtle Creek Intercollegiate to tie for 10th out of 14 teams.

Sophomore phenom Alex McCauley led the Mules with a 4-over-par 76 to tie for seventh in a field of 69 competitors. McCauley had three birdies in his round, one after reaching the green in two shots on the 582-yard par-5 18th hole.

Sophomore Charlie Kerprich carded an 81. He and McCauley each hit 12 greens in regulation, but Kerprich hit three more fairways off the tee. Kerprich recorded a birdie with a 15-foot putt on the par-4 390-yard 16th hole.

Senior Drew Hynes shot a career-low 85, which included three birdies through his first five holes of play. Hynes hit nine greens in regulation and had a team-best 32 putts throughout the round.

Senior Benny Heifetz (pictured above) hit a team-best eight fairways off the tee, and senior Henry Stoer hit seven greens in regulation and three fairways off the tee.

For the women, junior Kaylin Foss fired a 97 and recorded five pars during the round to tie for 10th in a field of 30 competitors. She had three straight pars on holes 11 through 13, including the par-5 13th. Junior Carly Kramer carded a 102 and recorded three pars.
