Three-Point Barrage Downs Women's Basketball
The Muhlenberg women's basketball team fell at Gettysburg, 67-53, in its last scheduled road game of the season.
The Bullets (19-3, 16-1), who are ranked 24th in Division III, made 14 three-pointers, shooting almost 50 percent from behind the arc in the first three quarters.
Sophomore Avery McNulty (pictured above) made three threes of her own en route to tying her career high of 12 points. Junior Emily Unger added 10, including 6 in the first three minutes to help stake the Mules (12-11, 7-11) to an 8-3 lead.
Gettysburg went ahead 11-10 on a three-pointer midway through the first quarter and remained on top for the rest of the game.
With two games remaining in the regular season, Muhlenberg is still in contention for a Centennial Conference playoff berth. The Mules need to win their home games against McDaniel and Bryn Mawr and get help.
