Two Earn Women's Lax All-Region
Two Muhlenberg players were named to the All-Metro Region team by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association.
Senior Nicole Steiner and junior Emily Vaughan both earned second-team honors, becoming only the sixth pair of Mules to land on the all-region team in the same season, and the first since 2017. Both players also earned All-Centennial Conference second-team recognition.
Steiner scored 67 goals, the fourth-most in a season in program history, in 2024, and leads the CC with an average of 3.94 goals per game. She led the Mules with 24 goals in CC contests, recording hat tricks in six of nine games against CC opponents, and netted 8 goals in non-conference wins against Kean and Drew. She finished her career with 166 goals, third in program history.
Vaughan led the Mules in ground balls (50), caused turnovers (38) and draw controls (78). Her 38 caused turnovers are tied for the CC lead and were the third-most in a season in program history, seven shy of the school record. Vaughan also scored a career-high 31 points on 23 goals and 8 assists. She will enter her senior season in the top five on Muhlenberg's all-time lists in career draw controls (fourth with 216) and caused turnovers (fifth with 82).
Muhlenberg finished the 2024 season with a 12-5 record, earning a Centennial Conference playoff berth for the second straight year and the right to host a CC playoff game for the first time since 2015.
