Women's Lacrosse Earns Academic Accolades

The Muhlenberg women's lacrosse team and eight of its players were honored for academic achievement by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association.

The Muhlenberg women's lacrosse team and eight of its players were honored for academic achievement by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association.

The team was named an Academic Honor Squad. To qualify for this prestigious honor, a women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.

Eight Mules were honored on the Division III Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, a student-athlete must be a junior, senior or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater. 

The Muhlenberg players honored were (pictured left to right above, top to bottom):

Celia Braswell, junior, biology major and Italian studies minor
Ellison Ervin, junior, political science major and history minor
Rebecca Himelfarb, junior, finance and business administration double major
Jordyn Kushel, senior, business administration major
Elisabeth Loiselle, senior, finance and business administration double major
Melissa Pierpont, junior, psychology major and political science minor
Sophie Spitzer, junior, political science major and history minor
Nicole Steiner, senior, public health major and studio art minor

The Mules made the grade on the field as well in 2024, going 12-5 to reach double digits in wins for the third consecutive season, winning a Centennial Conference playoff berth for the second straight year and earning the right to host a CC playoff game for the first time since 2015.
