Women's Lacrosse Falls in Playoff Game

The Muhlenberg women's lacrosse team saw its season come to an end with a 17-9 loss to Washington College in the first round of the Centennial Conference playoffs.

The Muhlenberg women's lacrosse team saw its season come to an end with a 17-9 loss to Washington College in the first round of the Centennial Conference playoffs. 

The Mules (12-5) took 12 shots in the first half but scored only one goal and could not get back in the game. The Shorewomen (11-6) led 3-1 after one and 7-2 at halftime, and Muhlenberg never got closer than four goals in the second half.

Senior Nicole Steiner scored three goals for her 32nd career hat trick, finishing her career in a tie for 12th place on the Mules' all-time list with 181 career points. Junior Jillian Kubikowski recorded her 100th career point on an assist to Steiner early in the second half, while sophomore Ava Milia finished just short of the century mark, ending the season with 99 career points. Senior Jordyn Kushel scored her fifth career goal in her last game.

Junior Melissa Pierpont caused a pair of turnovers and picked up a game-high 6 ground balls, while sophomore Abba Diglio (pictured above) recorded 4 ground balls, 3 caused turnovers and 3 draw controls.
