Five Named All-CC in Men's Soccer

After suffering only one loss in league play and advancing to the championship game for the third straight year, Muhlenberg placed five members on the All-Centennial Conference men's soccer team.

After suffering only one loss in league play and advancing to the championship game for the third straight year, Muhlenberg placed five members on the All-Centennial Conference men's soccer team.

Sophomore back Sam Roberts repeated on the first team, while senior midfielder Kevin Adams, junior forward Sim Dorsey and senior back Evan Schlotterbeck all landed on the second team. Freshman forward Saleem Diakite received honorable mention.

Last year, Roberts was the CC rookie of the year and became the second Mule ever to be named to the All-CC first team as a freshman. Now he is the first player in program history to earn All-CC first-team honors both as a freshman and a sophomore. Roberts is a standout on a defense that has allowed only 16 goals in 21 games, with 11 shutouts. His long throws and presence in the box on set pieces also enabled him to rank third on the team with 10 points. He's the first Muhlenberg back to reach double digits in points since 2014.

Adams earned his third All-CC nod; he was second team in 2022 and honorable mention in 2023. The Mules' co-captain leads the team in goals with 5 and is second on the squad with 13 points. Adams is one of three Mules in the last 10 years to be recognized on the All-CC team at least three times.

Dorsey made an impact in his first season with the Mules, leading the team with 15 points on 4 goals and 7 assists (tied for second in the CC). He recorded a goal and an assist in Muhlenberg's 2-1 CC semifinal win at Franklin & Marshall.

Schlotterbeck made the All-CC team for the first time as a senior. A team co-captain, he started at center back for a defense that has allowed more than one goal only once in the last 12 games. Schlotterbeck also was the Mules' leading scorer in CC games with 7 points on 2 goals and 3 assists.

Diakite was one of only four freshman to earn a spot on the All-CC team. He has recorded 6 points, with his two goals coming in CC games against Dickinson and Gettysburg.

Muhlenberg (12-3-6) finished in third place in the CC and, after falling in a shootout to top-seeded Johns Hopkins in the CC championship game, received an at-large berth to the NCAA Tournament. The Mules will play Stevens in a first-round game at Amherst on Saturday.
