Men's Lacrosse Drops Conference Opener
The Muhlenberg men's lacrosse team fell at seventh-ranked Dickinson, 11-6, in its first Centennial Conference game of the season.
The Mules (3-6, 0-1) gave up only one goal in the first nine minutes but could not score any of their own and never caught up. It was 4-1 at the end of the first quarter, and even though Muhlenberg netted the first goal of the second quarter, the Red Devils (7-1, 1-0) answered with the next two.
Freshman Daniel Friedel accounted for half of the Mule goals for his second career hat trick.
Junior Griffin Minuto had another strong game on faceoffs, going 11-for-21, mostly against Dickinson's All-America FOGO.
Muhlenberg has played five consecutive games against teams receiving votes in the national poll and will face a sixth straight at home against Swarthmore on Wednesday.
