Track and Field Tunes Up for Conference Meet
The Muhlenberg track and field teams tuned up for the Centennial Conference Championships at two sites.
At the Penn Relays, graduate student John Reichenbach (high jump) and senior Noel House (javelin) both posted regional-qualifying marks.
At Lehigh's Covert Classic, the Mules added seven more regional-qualifying marks as well as five all-time top 10 performances.
Junior Joshua Castro was Muhlenberg's lone winner at the Lehigh meet, which included four Division I schools. He captured the 400 with the third-best time in program history and also ran on the second-place 4x100 relay team.
Another 4x100 runner, freshman Christopher Short, came in second in the 200, as did freshman Maxwell Broadbent in the triple jump.
Freshman Maya Richwine placed second in the high hurdles to pace the women, while the 4x100 team of sophomore Shira Gamson, seniors Sabrina Reichelt and Kayla Morisi and Richwine came in third.
