Krug Named Player of the Week
Muhlenberg senior Stephen Krug was named Centennial Conference men's lacrosse defensive player of the week.
Krug made a career-high 18 saves in the Mules' 14-9 non-conference win against Stockton. He recorded 15 of his stops in the final three periods, when Muhlenberg was outshot by a 42-23 margin, including a pair after the Ospreys had cut an eight-goal deficit to three in the fourth quarter.
The win was the seventh in a row for the Mules, who start the postseason with a CC semifinal game at Dickinson on Thursday.
In his first season as a starter, Krug has compiled a 10.50 goals-against average and .506 save percentage, but he's been even better the last month of the season. During Muhlenberg's winning streak, he has an 8.04 GAA and .612 save percentage.
