Track & Field Ready for Conference Meet
The Muhlenberg track & field teams combined for a school record and seven second-place finishes at Haverford's Keogh Invitational, their final tuneup for the Centennial Conference Championships.
Senior Dylan DeMagistris won the weight throw with a heave of 54-1, breaking the previous mark of 53-10¼. It was a regional-qualifying mark for DeMagistris, who moved up to third place on the CC all-time performance list.
Another Mule thrower, sophomore Mike Powel, posted a regional-qualifying mark in the shot put, throwing a personal-best 47-9 to move into a tie for fourth on the Muhlenberg all-time performance list. Powel placed second in the shot put and also recorded a personal best in the weight throw.
Other second-place finishers were:
• freshman Isaac Schaffer-Neitz in the 60 meters (7.19);
• freshman Raam Ravishankar in the 800 meters (1:58.64);
• the men's 4x200 relay team of Schaffer-Neitz, junior Joshua Castro and freshmen Bryce Rhodeman and Christopher Short (1:33.23);
• freshman Sultan Almosbeh in the high jump (5-7);
