The Muhlenberg women's soccer team wrapped up its home slate in style, recording a 2-1 win against Ursinus.

The Mules never trailed in picking up their first Centennial Conference win of the season, scoring multiple goals in back-to-back games for the first time. And the same two players who scored in Saturday's 3-2 loss to Washington College scored again.

Midway through the first half, senior Paige Addis took a long shot from the right side that hit the inside of the far post and caromed into the back of the net.

Ursinus tied the game by scoring off a throw in the 72nd minute, but Muhlenberg scored its own goal off a throw less than three minutes later.

After sophomore Anna May settled the throw from classmate Sophia Kessler, she sent the ball to senior Casie Burke, who had her back to the goal at the top of the box. Burke turned and shot it in for her third goal of the season.

The Bears nearly tied the game with fewer than nine minutes to play, but junior Sara Pecorelli leaped to parry a shot over the crossbar for the second time in the game. Ursinus won a corner kick, but the Mules defended it well, as they did for the entire game. The Bears took 10 corners, to just one for Muhlenberg, but did not score off any of them.
